Venting/ Bursting Valve
Description
A bursting membrane that is securely held in the housing under high pressures using screw threads. The V38GF with a PTFE membrane functions as a pressure equalization valve at 665 l/h up to the cracking pressure point. The bursting membrane bursts once the interior pressure exceeds approx. 500 mbar.
The gases then are safety guided to the outside via a pipe, making these bursting membranes ideally suited for closed rooms or in areas directly connected to breathable air. The wall thickness is of no importance on account of the screw thread.
The bursting membranes have been tested in line with automotive specifications and they are suited for application areas requiring IP6kX, IPX7 and IPX9k.
Use
Safety element in interior areas for lithium ion battery housing.
